Jono's much-loved bike has finally reached the end of the road. Fortunately, he has worked hard and saved enough money to buy another one.
Then he discovers that Kade has a much bigger problem.
The school excursion is approaching, but Kade's grandfather cannot afford to send him. Although Kade pretends he doesn't care, Jono realises how disappointed he really is.
At home, Jono and his dad read one of the most challenging stories in Abraham's life. God asks Abraham to take his beloved son Isaac to Mount Moriah and offer him as a sacrifice.
Jono is horrified. How can this possibly fit with a loving God and His promise that the Rescue Plan will continue through Isaac?
The answer is found in Abraham's extraordinary faith: he trusts that God will provide.
At the crucial moment, Isaac is spared and a ram is provided as the sacrifice.
The story challenges Jono to consider what trusting God might look like in his own life. He makes an extraordinary decision: instead of buying his new bike, he will anonymously use his savings to pay for Kade's excursion.
Then, in an unexpected turn, Allie discovers Jono needs a bike and offers him a brand-new one her family no longer needs.
Jono learns firsthand that providing for others sometimes requires sacrifice, and that God's provision can arrive in ways we never expect.
