The King family heads away on a camping trip, while Jono and his dad enjoy a quieter weekend fishing. Both families discover there is something valuable about slowing down, stepping away from distractions and learning to be patient.
For Chloe, patience has begun producing an unexpected answer to prayer. After struggling with loneliness, she finds a new friendship developing with Allie and recognises that perhaps God has been working even when she couldn't see it.
While waiting for the fish to bite, Jono hears about another person who needed patience and trust: Abram. God calls Abram to leave his home, his familiar surroundings and everything he knows to travel to a land God will show him. Abram does not know exactly where he is going, but he chooses to trust the One leading him.
The story causes the families to consider how busyness and distraction can prevent people from listening, reflecting and noticing God's guidance.
Meanwhile, another side of Kade's story emerges. Waiting eagerly for a visit from his mother, he reveals just how deeply he longs for love, attention and belonging.
