The story

When Melody witnesses Kade bullying new girl Chloe at the park, she struggles to understand why people can be so cruel.

Unknown to the others, Chloe is already dealing with loneliness and upheaval at home. Feeling invisible and unwanted, she wonders whether even God notices her pain.

Melody's questions lead the King family back to the Bible, where they discover the story of Lucifer, once a magnificent angel whose pride and jealousy led him to rebel against God.

For the first time, Jack and Melody begin to understand where the battle between good and evil began. But the story raises another difficult question: if God had the power to stop Lucifer, why didn't He? As Sally seeks answers from Mrs Jones, the family explores free choice and a God of love, justice and mercy who desires love rather than obedience based on fear.

In this episode, Chloe is bullied by Kade and feels invisible and unloved. As the story unfolds, we learn about the origin of sin and pride through the story of Lucifer’s rebellion in heaven. But more importantly, we see the heart of a God who is both just and merciful. God’s decision not to destroy Lucifer immediately was not weakness. It was an act of love and fairness. God wanted all His creation to understand the results of sin and to choose Him from love, not fear.
